This is Mienai Kitsune, the founder, and on behalf of the staff, I’d like to welcome you to Gekkoukan High Scans (GHS). This scanlation group was originally created for the sole purpose of scanlating the Persona 3 manga. But, we’ve also picked up Moyashimon.

Also, I’m curious to actually see how many people like GHS and what we do, here. So, if all you GHS readers don’t mind, please comment here ^_^

In case you’re wondering where Perspective 1 is, now that 1.5 has been released, it’s Piece 06.5. I had the same thought, so I went back and looked at the only other omake-ish chapter (06.5), and sure enough…

But I digress. I’ve re-labeled Piece 06.5 as “Perspective 1,” but only on the P3 page, not the actual chapter.

If you’re wondering what’s taking so long with our next P3 release, it’s things such as the following:

Dani: …
Dani: so, someone in Fuuka’s class in the manga calls her “yuurei no ko”
Dani: “yuurei” is the shortened form of “yuureirupasu” or Eurailpass
Mienai: *scratches head confused* I am unfamiliar with that word
Dani: The Eurailpass is available only to non European travelers in Europe
Dani: it’s a cheap ticket for the Eurail system, which goes through about 20 countries
Dani: So i don’t know if I should say “It’s the easy girl” which seems to be the implication…
Dani: and then maybe you can add that as a translator’s note?
Mienai: ok, and damn, that’s harsh
Dani: i’m equating it to the town bike thing
Dani: but another context could say that “it’s that flighty girl” in reference to how she’s never there
Dani: i can’t remember the game…i think they had both somewhere in there
Mienai: hmm
Mienai: I’ll put a note
Dani: see, the manga has yu-rei, which would be eurail
Dani: but if it was written as yuurei, it would mean ghost
Dani: everything else on the page says like “stop her” “she’s dangerous”
Mienai: that does work too
Dani: but it’s not written like that
Mienai: as they said it –true
Dani: so, it’s like…well, i don’t know
Dani: either way works really
Mienai: for now, go with the town bike equation
Dani: lol, ok
Dani: personally, i’m amused by my agony
Dani: but as far as obscure slang goes, this chapter can die
Mienai: I bet

I apologize for the lack of updates, guys. Work has been kicking my ass 12 ways from Sunday, as the saying goes. But, good news is, both of our series are being worked on.

Here it is! The first release of our new project — Moyashimon!

Mangaka: Masayuki Ishikawa

Summary: Meet Sawaki Tadayasu, second son of yeast preparation suppliers, who is forced to go to an agricultural university and continue the family business. He has the unique ability to see microbes, and so he and his friend, Kei, are taken as students to the fermentation-process obsessed Itsuki-sensei. This manga follows Sawaki as he tries to make his way through university as discreetly as possible… which is pretty impossible if you’re as talented as he is.
